Might be time to rethink your retirement plans

Here’s some stocking stuffers from our politicians.

The tax act benefits the wealthiest of Americans as ABC, CBS, and NBC news (all American-owned companies) warned. Fox News and the Wall Street Journal (both owned by the Murdoch family of Australia) claim it cuts taxes for the middle class, which is hogwash.

The stock market is up more than 20 percent this year, but the wealthiest among us still need more money. Both Rep. Kinzinger and Gov. Rauner support the bill.

If the U.S. leaves NAFTA, the average Midwestern farmer will lose $55,000 a year, according to the University of Nebraska.

The FCC plans to get rid of “net neutral” internet, so if you use social media or live stream movies or sports, you’ll have to pay higher fees.

Speaker Paul Ryan announced plans for 2018 include cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits. So if those are in your retirement plans, better figure out some other means to support yourself.

Merry Christmas!
