FORRESTON – Richard A. Halfman, 72, of Forreston, passed away Dec. 14, 2017, in Polo.
Richard was born July 3, 1945, in Savanna, the son of Ruth E. (Goldring) Halfman. He was a truck driver and business agent for Teamsters Local 722 until retirement. Richard enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycle back in the day. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors includes his sons, Richard (Cindy) Halfman of Polo and Shawn (Beth) Halfman of Rockford; sisters, Kathleen Frank of Forreston, Rosemary Wirth of Elgin, South Carolina, and Anita Fritz of Monroe Center; brother, Kevan Halfman of Rockford; granddaughter, Savana Halfman; and stepgrandaughters, Aleetra and Zandrea.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, John Halfman III.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., with graveside services at 11:30 a.m. at St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery in Shannon.
