OREGON – Today is the deadline to register for a six-session kids shotgun shooting and safety class, which runs from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday and March 30 at Ogle County Farm Bureau, 421 W. Pines Road, and April 13 and 27 and May 11 and 25 at Plug & Pellet, 4725 Centerville Road in Rockford.
Participants, who must be 10 or 18 by Sept. 1, must bring hearing and eye protection, and can bring their own shotgun Friday to see whether it will be suitable for the class.
The cost is $60, which covers shells and targets.
The class is part of the Ogle County 4-H Shooting Sports Program, but you need not be a member to take the class.
