Sterling Optimist Club’s annual poster contest

Samuel Mauch, a student of St. Mary School in Sterling, shows his poster that won first place in the male category of the Sterling Optimist Club’s annual poster contest for students in fourth through sixth grade from Challand, Christ Lutheran, Lincoln, St. Mary and Washington schools in Sterling. The first-place female winner is Paige Reitzel of Christ Lutheran School. Hammer also presented her $100. Reitzel received honorable mention at the district level.
