Hawks handle Cogs at home

Panthers, Storm fall on road; Cougars edge past Blackhawks

The Oregon Hawks picked up a Big Northern victory Thursday night at the Blackhawk Center, defeating Genoa-Kingston 25-7, 25-18.

Bailey Nelson hammered 10 kills, and McKenna Sadler had 11 digs for Oregon. Ella Martin contributed eight assists, eight digs and four aces.

St. Bede def. Erie-Prophetstown 25-13, 27-25: The Panthers dropped a TRAC East road match to the Bruins in Peru.

Sophia Sullivan and Skylar Steimle
each had five kills for E-P. Jenna Saad dished out 14 assists, and Jessica Woodworth anchored the defense with eight digs.

Princeton def. Bureau Valley 25-13, 25-23: The Storm fell in a TRAC East road match against the Tigresses at Prouty Gym.

Marissa Endress finished with 14 digs for BV, while Saige Barnett slammed five kills. Emily Fordham passed out five assists, and Carly Konneck added 10 digs and two kills.

Eastland def. Stockton 25-23, 25-23: The Cougars emerged victorious over the Blackhawks in an NUIC West matchup in Lanark.

Sage Walrath recorded seven kills and three aces, and Karlie Krogman also slammed seven kills for Eastland. Gabby Snyder had 21 digs, and Erin Henze passed out 12 assists.

Aquin def. Milledgeville 25-9, 25-21: The Missiles fell to the Bulldogs in an NUIC East home match.

Alyvia Woodward registered four kills, while Courtney Queckboerner had four digs and three kills for Milledgeville. Mady Hicks added five digs and three aces. Samantha
