Are we all to blame for school shootings?

On the latest school shooting, in Colorado, near Columbine, I know we have to blame them. I guess it was two students responsible. As a society though, do we only blame them, or in some way, are we all to blame?

Wait a minute – if we are all to blame in some way, we have to recognize there is a God we all answer to. That’s a social no-no.

If we as an American society have permitted things which lend themselves to even cheapening life, don’t we all share in what is going on in society and in our classrooms?

That would require a severe introspection, but are we willing? I would require something like repenting from things that maybe the 10 Commandments say – like thou shalt not kill. Maybe we can post them in our public schools. Oh, oh, that might be unconstitutional right now.

Maybe the introspection would be changing that. It would be easier to pass out blame with poor vision.
