‘Twas the day before Christmas, when all through the mall,
All the children were stirring – Santa’s on call!
The lines they were forming by his big Santa chair
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
That jolly old elf – he finally was here!
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his toes,
Waiting for kids to strike their best Christmas pose.
The children they told him what they wanted to see,
Inside of their stockings and under their trees.
And when they were done, they went on their way,
Leaving Santa to prepare for that magical day.
Their hearts full of happiness, their hearts full of joy,
That Christmasy magic in each girl and boy.
And all of them hoped, as they strode out of sight,
That they’d catch a glimpse of St. Nick later that night.
