Family's annual egg hunt draws thousands to Lyndon
The Anticipation was at an all-time high just a few minutes before the start of Saturday afternoon's Wright Family Egg Hunt in Lyndon. More than 30,000 brightly colored eggs were waiting to be found and scooped up into the baskets and bags of the eager children. The family was expecting up to 4,000 people at this year's hunt. At high noon the kids were released to scramble around for their share of the eggs. The eggs were filled with a variety of candy and if the child was lucky, a ticket. These tickets were exchanged for toys or one of the more than 400 bikes that were donated to the event. For more information on the annual event find Wright Family Egg Hunt on Facebook.
