Is Acupuncture for me?

SPONSORED

Acupuncture is a form of Chinese Medicine that has been around for thousands of years.  Acupuncture works by promoting your own bodies ability to heal itself and improve functioning.   Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of conditions or illness by bringing balance back to your body.

What do we treat?

Because acupuncture taps into your body’s own ability to heal itself, we can treat a wide range of conditions.  Some of the most popular are:

Menopause.   In many women, an imbalance of hormones can lead to many health issues such as endometriosis, fibroids, infertility, heavy menses, painful menses, or menopausal and perimenopausal disorders. Most OTC medications are often ineffective because they do not deal with the underlying cause.  Acupuncture can target specific parts of the body and stimulate the production of important hormones. As a result, it can restore normal function and minimize health issues related to menopause.

Headaches.  Acupuncture is effective in treating tension headaches and migraines.  Acupuncture has been proven to release endorphins (the bodies natural painkillers) into the central nervous system.  It also relaxes muscles and breaks up trigger points and can bring balance back to hormone levels.  All of this leads to reduced headaches and migraines.

Pain.  Acupuncture alleviates all kinds of pain.  Joint pain from arthritis, back pain, sciatica, knee pain and plantar fasciitis to name a few.

What to expect?

Finding a licensed acupuncturist is key to your treatments success.   Treatments sessions last approximately 30-40 minutes.  During your treatment, fine hair like needles will be placed in various acupuncture points throughout your body.  There is little to no pain with the insertion of needles.  All needles are sterile and disposable.   There are very little side effects, some bruising or bleeding may occur at the site of insertion.
