Sauk Valley health departments report 14 new COVID-19 cases

The Lee County Unified Leadership Team announced six new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, plus five people recovered and lifted off of isolation.

The new cases involved three people in their 20s as well as people in their 50s, 60s and 80s.

Whiteside County had three new cases affecting two people in their 30s and one in his or her 50s.

Carroll County had three new cases Wednesday, involving a teenager and people in their 20s and 30s. Ogle County had two new cases.

Whiteside County has had 373 cases and 17 COVID-related deaths. Lee County has had 183 cases, 141 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 431 cases, 394 recoveries and five deaths. Carroll County has had 74 cases and four deaths.

Illinois on Wednesday announced 1645 cases and 16 deaths. The state has had 198,593 cases and 7,672 deaths.

Sterling has had 1,745 tests and 148 positive cases. Rock Falls has had 1,041 tests and 71 cases. Dixon has had 3,223 tests and 146 cases. Rochelle has had 2,268 tests and 206 cases.
